Aquesta papallona, de la família Lycaenidae, es
tracta d'un exemplar mascle de 31 mm d'envergadura,
capturat als Clots de l'Estanyó de Sorteny el 13 d'agost de
1994, que presenta les ales anteriors amb el color
vermell metal·litzat característic de l'espècie i les
ales posteriors blanques metal·litzades, excepte la zona
basal dels espais s7 i s8 que és també vermella
característica. Els punts marginals de les ales
posteriors en els espais s1 a s7 són presents com també l'aspecte
inferior de les ales que difereix del tipus pel color
blanc en les ales posteriors. Aquesta forma l'anomeno des
d'ara mariateresa, en honor a la meva esposa,
insustituible col·laboradora

This butterfly, of the family Lycaenidae , it is considered an exemplary male of 31 importance millimeters, captured in "Els Clots de l'Estanyó" of Sorteny in the Parroquia of Ordino in Andorra, 13 of August of 1994, that has the previous wings of red color metalized characteristic of the kind and the also metalized white subsequent wings except in the zone basal of the spaces s7 and s8 that it is also red. The marginal points of the subsequent wings in the spaces s1 to s7 are present as well as the inferior aspect of the wings but defers of the type by the white color of the subsequent. This form I name it mariateresa in honor of my wife, perfect collaborative.
