Són autors d'un estudi biogeogràfic dels lepidópters de Catalunya que estan portant a terme des de fa trenta anys. Han desenvolupat un sistema de treball únic al món amb tecnologia pròpia amb aplicació de la informàtica amb un programa que confecciona mapes de distribució des de dades presas en treball de camp mitjançant aparell GPS que computa les senyals dels satèlits geo-estacionaris del Pentàgon dels EEUU. Amb aquest sistema poden arribar a una precissió de +- 10 m. per assolir escala a la mida dels insectes. Dins de la seva base de dades han incorporat mes de 60.000 dades de lepidòpters i altres insectes capturats a Catalunya des de l'any 1816. Quasi la mitad d'aquestes dades son fruit dels mes de dos mil dies de treball de camp. Des de fa uns anys estan fent l'estudi biogeografic del Parc Natural del Cadí Moixerò, del Parc Nacional d'Aigüestortes i el Parc Natural de Sant Llorenç del Munt. Han estudiat també les papallones d'Andorra especialment de la Vall de Sorteny a la Parròquia d'Ordino. En aquesta explèndida vall vàren descobrir la forma Heodes virgaureae pyraeneicola mariateresa Dolsa 1995. Són igualment autors de la Web de les Papallones de Catalunya i d'Andorra. Entre altres treballs han publicat el Diccionari Sinonímic de les papallones de Catalunya i de la Guia de les Papallones del Baix Llobregat. Des de
l'any 1985 estan fent una tasca didàctica de divulgació
dels insectes adreçada principalment als escolars de
Catalunya. Han creat una exposicó didàctica itinerant
que ha recorregut Catalunya. Durant els anys 1989 al 1999 van formar part de les
Exposicions itinerants de la Diputació de Barcelona. |
They are authors of a

From the year 1985 are making a didactic publication work of the directed insects mainly to praises Catalonia schools. Today are Directors and founders of Museu of Butterflies of Catalonia since july 2002 |
